The American Center, Information Resource Center (IRC), is a section of the Office of Public Affairs, American Embassy – Tel Aviv. The American Center provides information about the United States of America to the Israeli public.

The American Center will be closed from Monday, May 12, 2008 until Friday, May 16, 2008 owing to the upcoming Presidential visit. The Center will reopen on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
Sports - In preparation for the Beijing Olympics,
we are looking at the history of sports in America; famous
American athletes who are prominent in American society
not only for their sports-related accomplishments, but
also for their larger impact on society such as Jackie
Robinson breaking the racial barrier in baseball and the
significant contributions of foreign-born athletes in
their home countries
