Report of Birth -

PLEASE NOTE:  If you are feeling unwell or are exhibiting flu-like symptoms on the day of your appointment, please do not come to the American Citizen Services Unit for your appointment.  Instead, please contact us by email at AMCTelAviv@state.gov and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.  To protect the health of our employees and fellow American citizens, if you do come to our office and you are exhibiting signs that you are ill, you may be asked to leave and reschedule your appointment.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Children born abroad to U.S. citizen parents may have a claim to U.S. citizenship. If the parent(s) lived in the U.S. long enough to transmit citizenship, a child's birth may be reported at this Embassy and a U.S. passport and social security number may be obtained for him or her.

We strongly recommend that the birth of your child be reported to this Embassy as soon as possible after the birth.

The following information will assist you in determining whether or not your child is a U.S. citizen and will provide assistance in the steps you are required to take to register the birth.

To determine if the child’s U.S. citizen parent(s) were in the U.S. long enough to transmit citizenship, please follow this link.
