On January 28, 2008, Chargé D’Affaires Luis Moreno hosted a presentation by Professor Michael O’Hanlon, Senior Fellow in Foreign Policy Studies, Brookings Institution, on the topic "The U.S. Presidential Race and American Foreign Policy."  The off-the-record discussion was attended by 45 of Israel's leading experts on American Studies and foreign policy, as well as a group of graduate students of government and diplomacy.  Prof. O’Hanlon discussed the prospects in the primaries for the leading candidates, giving an insider’s view both of domestic issues that are of concern to Americans as well as attempting to predict their potential policy directions, if elected.  Prof. O’Hanlon’s presentation was followed by a lively discussion.
